Chris Hobson, OD…Forty Years of Practice in Kennesaw, Georgia
I am so blessed to have been in practice for 40 Years in Kennesaw!
On a in June of 1976, I graduated from The Ohio State University and the following morning, my wife, Sandy and I moved to Kennesaw, GA. Over the last 40 years, we have had the privilege of raising our two children, Amber and Christopher in Kennesaw. As of this December, Sandy and I will have six wonderful grandchildren that are all local in and around Kennesaw. For 33 of those years, my wife, Sandy, taught school at North Cobb High School, Kennesaw Elementary and Blackwell Elementary. My wife and I chose Kennesaw, GA to live out our dreams of our careers and raise a family. It has truly been remarkable to be a part of this wonderful community and I can’t imagine being anywhere else!
After 40 years of practice, I can honestly say that I love my practice more than when I started. This community has given me the privilege of not only taking care of many wonderful patients, but now I am able to see their children and many times, their grandchildren! Wow! You will never know how great that makes me feel and how each of you have made me feel like part of your families! For my patients to trust me to take care of their precious gift of sight is a huge responsibility and one that I don’t take lightly. I will continue to work every day to deliver the eye care they deserve. The faith and trust that my patients have in me makes me feel humbled and honored. And after 40 years, it still gives me the desire to be the best eye doctor that I can be for you all!
I am so pleased to have the best staff than I have ever had in the 40 years! And what a privilege it is to have Dr. Heather Zutaut and Dr. Jessica Hall in my practice with me. They are amazing doctors and in my opinion, I have chosen “the best” to be by my side as I am taking a little more time away from the office to be with grandkids, travel and play some golf. When I am out of the office, I know Dr. Zutaut or Dr. Hall will take great care of my patients. I am truly blessed!
I am sure that I will not be in practice for another 40 years, however, I look forward to practicing my profession for many years to come in the future. I have so many people to thank for my fantastic journey from my wife to my family, friends, patients, colleagues and my staff. And most definitely, my Mom and my Dad. They raised me to believe I could do anything I wanted to do. They were always there to support me in every step of my journey.
I am enjoying celebrating the 40 years of practice, but I truly look forward to serving my patients for many more years to come. The journey has been long, but we still have many miles to go.
God Bless all the people who have helped me on this continuous journey and God Bless America!
